10 Things Men Wish We Women Knew

10 Things Men Wish We Women Knew
By L A Knight

Its true. Men are not emotional creatures and they tend not to like it when we ask them what they're thinking. Nine times out of ten we think they're lying when they tell us anyway. So when it came to finding out what men really wish we women knew about them I decided to go directly to the source. Men. Here's what I found out.

Men are dreamers

Even if we think their dream is unrealistic and simple. It's important to men to know that we have their back and support them no matter what. If they fail, don't rub it in. Instead encourage them to dream again.

Men are visual creatures

Showing that you care about your outer appearance says a lot about your character so if you caught him looking your absolute best, try to remember that woman a few years down the road when 'life' throws you one of its curve balls.

Men follow rules too

It's true. They wait before calling after the first date just like we do. Men also know that rules were made to be broken and though they tend to like being the chaser when it comes to finding the right one, they appreciate being chased every once in a while.

Men actually do listen

They just process what they hear differently. We women know how to respond by placing just the right amount of soothing bandages over emotional wounds. We have the tendency to want to fix things right away. Men like to digest what they hear first. Give him some time to think (and not on your timetable). When he brings it up again, he'll be prepared to offer sound advice.

Men like to be complimented and appreciated

Tell him he looks irresistible and mean it. Men like it when they are noticed even for small things like pulling out your seat or holding open the door for you.

If he hasn't committed, it's because he doesn't want to end up with buyers remorse

Men are not natural shoppers like women. They don't like to spend most of their day going in and out of stores looking for more of what they probably don't need anyway. When men do shop, they go in already knowing what they want. If you're guy is dragging his feet, its because he doesn't want to end up with buyers remorse. You have to decide what that means to you but be assured that when he does finally decide that he wants to spend the rest of his life with you. His intention is 'the rest of his life'.

Men like it when women ask for what they want

Really. They do. So if something is on your mind don't dance around it. Let him know.

Men like to say 'I Love You' their way

Men say I love you by actions and not so much words. Don't get yourself balled up into a knot if your guy is not the holding hands kissy cuddly goo goo type. Instead watch what he does and how he treats you. His actions probably shout 'I love you' all the time but if you still need to hear it every once in a while. Tell him.

Men don't want you to be their mother

It's not your job to hold his hand and do everything for him. Men like to drive. Think of life as their vehicle. Even if you know he should have asked for directions a long time ago. Resist the urge to get into the driver's seat. If you're not careful, you're helping hand could come across as controlling.

You can't change him

Please know that you will fail if you try to change him into the man you want him to be (Just as he can't change you into the woman he wants you to be). Also note that it's foolish to be mad at somebody because they won't do what you want because apparently you alone know what's best for him.
